The Mask

Most people wouldnt be able to tell if the season had changed to autumn here in Muscat, but we residents notice the cooler temps and appreciate them greatly,

Its a beautiful Morning ,

and i am here today to share a new craft i tried recently!

MASQUERADE MASK

I have never made masks before,i have seen them a lot on pinterest while searching for other crafts,but never felt like trying one. My neighbour's daughter wanted a mask for the ball she were suppose to attend two days back. I immediately said YES for The Help she wanted from me.

i was nervous yet confidant,

when they handed me the materials , i really started to get stressed as i had only 4 hours at hand to make something i have never tried before.

finally i started working on it, and it took me just one &Half hour to complete. I was very much relaxed and happy.

The first picture is the mask she wanted and below is the one I had made it for her.

She was extremely delighted.

After sharing the mask picture on the social media, I got a request from two people to share the tutorial.

Trace the basic shape of the mask on the tracing paper.

Cut out the shape as well as the eye area.

Trace the shape on a glittered foam or plain foam and cut out the shape.

Now punch the hole on both sides of the mask.

Place your desired lace on the foam.Preferably self adhesive laces. 

Now iron it carefully not deshaping the foam.

Attach the ribbons on both sides where hole was punched.

Choose any 3/4different sizes and different colors of ribbons , make bows of it.

Now put some more embellishments on to your mask.

Finally it's ready.
