Handcrafted Newspaper and Magzine holder

Going for shopping is such a fun but more fun and relaxing is to make stuff at home with all the left over things in home and using your creative ideas.While shopping at Mall i saw a newspaper holder simply made out of cardboard wrapped in velvet sheet,it was simple yet classy and definately a requirement for my husband (as every morning he goes haywire in search of newspaper and magzines),and still we dropped the idea of purchasing it.
But the next morning i collected all the left over things and came up with this magzine holder which is simply made out of kettle box.It may not be as strong as the one i saw at mall but serves the purpose.

About Holder :

• An old kettle box
• Wrapped it with Birthday streamers
• designed it with burnt match sticks and painted a bit.
• Giving a fine edge on the top with my old suit border.
  
  
  

  
  

  HOW TO MAKE

  1. Take an old kettle box.just check the size of it before you turn it into the magzine holder.

  2.Start gluing the birthday streamers on it,one by one color.

  3.Once you are through with the covering ,stick the burnt matchstick in the design you want,i had stick them in sunburst way.

  4.Cover the top edge with any old cloth piece.you can use any handmade paper also to give it a fine look.

  5.Finally color it with acrylic ,only if you wish.You can use any other stuff to make it beautifull.
